Jamberry nail wrap review

Image
Helloooooo 👅 Another blog post!! I'm on fireeeeeeeeeeeeee lately! 💥 This one is beauty related but it isn't makeup, in this post I am going to be reviewing Jamberry Nail Wraps . So first of all, a bit of info about them; They are kind of like stickers that you apply to your nails. If they are applied properly, they can look really really nice, and they can last for a good couple of weeks! When you first start doing them they can be a bit tricky and fiddly to apply but when you've done it a couple of times you soon get used to it and can get quite speedy. The wraps come in big sheets, out of which you can get 2 manicures and 2 pedicures. Applying them is really straight forward, its basically a case of prepping your nail, choosing the best size wrap for your nail, apply it to your nail with an orange stick, and blow dry it in 3 sections, (middle, then either side) for between 2-5 seconds, applying pressure each time.  You then move onto the next nail and

Make up reviews!

Heyyyy again! 😚 So, here come some more makeup reviews! This time it is stuff that I have actually bought and not stuff I received in my birchbox. The 3 products I am going to review in this blog are all make up revolution products that I bought from Superdrug. So, the list of products I am going review; 1) M.U.R Redemption Palette Iconic 2 2) M.U.R Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit - Ultra Fair 01 3) M.U.R Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray First product - The Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 2; Okay, so this palette is the first *serious* eye shadow palette I have ever bought myself. Obviously when I was like 11/12 years old, I bought my self 1 cough, several, cough of those cringey pink/purple/blue and green palettes that everyone had... Safe to say my makeup skills back then really were not good.... Anyway, moving swiftly on! 😂 So yeah, the first proper palette I have bought. I absolutely love it. The colours are amazing, and they blend sooooo well. As

We got a sports massage!

Image
Heyyyyy 👅 So this post is a bit different to my previous blog posts as I thought I would change it up a bit by posting about the sports massage me and my boyfriend got yesterday! 👍 So... as some may know, I'm a level 3 qualified beauty and massage therapist, and for my training I went to Totton College. I have my tutor on Facebook and every now and then she posts asking if people can come in for discounted treatments as people have cancelled last minute. Not really knowing much about sports massage as I had never had one, I volunteered myself and Matt to be a client. WOOOOOW Wow Woooooow. Didn't I regret that! It turns out a sports massage is a veeeeery deep tissue and muscle massage. It hurt. A lot . In fairness, the guy that did the massage was really lovely, friendly, and professional. He was also very chatty and made us feel really at ease. He kept asking if the pressure was alright, to which I always said it was despite trying as hard as I could not to squir

More reviews from my first Birchbox!

Helloooo! 👀 So this is another post about the products I got in my first Birchbox that I hadn't got around to using yesterday, but now I have!! 😎 Just to recap, the things I reviewed yesterday were;  1) Merci Handy Flower Power Hand and nail cream (loved) 2) Ciate London fierce flicks felt tip liner (didn't love so much) 3) Nuxe Paris Huile Prodigieuse (it was okay) So in this post I am going to review; 1) Lord & Berry Crayon Concealer 2)  Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo 3)  Beauty Protector protect and detangle leave in conditioner So first up; the Lord & Berry Crayon Concealer; Now this I really liked. As it's a crayon it's soooo easy to use and get in the right place and can cover up tiny blemishes as well as bigger ones.  Not only that, it goes on really smoothly and practically just glides onto your face.  I used it to cover up the redness on my cheeks and it worked wonders. I also used it for a few small blemishes around my face and it really d

My first Birchbox!

Hellooo again 😎 So in my first post I mentioned that I had signed up to Birchbox and received my first package. In this post I am going to explain which products I got and write about some of them. Since I only received it today I haven't had a chance to use all of them yet so I will do another post about them soon.   This is the cute little box that my goodies arrived in. It has a handy little drawer and would make a good storage box! Below is a picture of the items I received. Left to right: 1) Merci Handy Flower Power hand and nail cream. 2) Beauty Protector Leave In Conditioner (haven't used) 3) Lord & Berry Concealer (haven't used) 4) Voucher for Hello Fresh and BIRCHBOX (Haven't used) 5) Ciate London Fierce Flicks Pen Eyeliner 6) Sample of NUXE PARIS Huile Prodigieuse 7) Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo (haven't used) Here I am going to do a review of the items I have used... First up, the Merci Handy Flower Power hand and nail

Just a little about me....

Hellooooo!  😁 So yeah, as you can probably tell, I'm a newbie blogger! This first blog post is just going to be a tiny little bit about me and my life, and I'm hoping (providing I can actually keep it up) that my future posts are going to be mostly about product reviews, varying from makeup, to skin care and hair care. I might even post more about my life if I think it is interesting enough! So yeah, My name is Gemma Mathieson. (that's me below!!) I am 22 years old. I am from Southampton but moved to Eastleigh with my boyfriend Matt in 2016! I work for a bank, which sometimes I like and sometimes I don't. My favourite colour is pink.. literally.. pink makes anything better. I love dogs, my parents have 2 border collies who are just the sweetest things. I also love cats. Another love of mine is makeup, hence why I am hoping to start doing reviews on products.  I'm not exactly a professional makeup artist, however I am a Level 3 qualified beauty
