Just a little about me....

Hellooooo! 😁


So yeah, as you can probably tell, I'm a newbie blogger!

This first blog post is just going to be a tiny little bit about me and my life, and I'm hoping (providing I can actually keep it up) that my future posts are going to be mostly about product reviews, varying from makeup, to skin care and hair care.
I might even post more about my life if I think it is interesting enough!

So yeah,
My name is Gemma Mathieson. (that's me below!!)


I am 22 years old.
I am from Southampton but moved to Eastleigh with my boyfriend Matt in 2016!
I work for a bank, which sometimes I like and sometimes I don't.
My favourite colour is pink.. literally.. pink makes anything better.
I love dogs, my parents have 2 border collies who are just the sweetest things.
I also love cats.



Another love of mine is makeup, hence why I am hoping to start doing reviews on products. 
I'm not exactly a professional makeup artist, however I am a Level 3 qualified beauty therapist, so I am hoping this will help me give better reviews and help me identify what makes a good and bad product!
I also hope to do reviews on skin and hair care products as well. I don't currently have much of a collection, but I am slowly but surely building up.
I have recently signed up to Birchbox too! I received my first package today and I LOVE IT!!!! (Will do a separate post for that)

I'm not really much of a fashionista so don't be expecting reviews on fashion! I'm more of a jeans and nice top kinda person, unless I'm going out of course!

 Oh and another thing about me; I really really want to go travelling! The main place I desperately want to visit is Australia. I have wanted to go there since.. well since I can remember really, and I intend to go this year so I can finally meet my super awesome Aussie friend whom I have been talking to and been pen pals with for over a decade! I have the time off work approved for this trip and everything so all I have to do is book it! 

So anyway, that is all from me for now, as I don't want to bore you on the first post!

Heyyyy again 👋 So its kinda crazy, I haven't blogged in like 3-4 weeks and now you're getting 2 consecutive ones!!! 😋 So yeah, as you can tell by the title of the blog, I am going to review the NEW Showcase Cinema De Lux in the NEW Southampton West Quay Watermark. So yeah; for those that are wondering, the film I went to watch is Fifty Shades Darker, and don't worry, there are no spoilers in the blog! So anyway, we booked the tickets online which was really straight forward, and it gave us a code to print them off with, which again, was really quick and easy. You can also choose to print them off yourself if you want to. When we got there we found it was a bit hard to find the way as its right of the back of the building that you have to go into. When we managed to find it we went to get our popcorn and drinks which as per any normal cinema, was slightly over priced.  We got a small mixed sweet and salted popcorn which was about £4. My first Birchbox!

Hellooo again 😎 So in my first post I mentioned that I had signed up to Birchbox and received my first package. In this post I am going to explain which products I got and write about some of them. Since I only received it today I haven't had a chance to use all of them yet so I will do another post about them soon.   This is the cute little box that my goodies arrived in. It has a handy little drawer and would make a good storage box! Below is a picture of the items I received. Lockdown!

Hey! 😀 So this is my first blog post in like 3 years . Not really doing it for anyone other than myself, but if you do find yourself reading it then I hope you find it interesting or relatable. It's a post about the lock down we are all currently experiencing, and I guess just my take on it.  I am BORED . I mean, I don't really go out and do much anyway, but I still don't like having that restriction.. sometimes it's nice to just be able to get out, like sometimes I will go for a drive and find a quiet place to sit and think, but I can't do that at the moment. Even if you are making essential journeys like food shopping, you feel like you're being judged! It doesn't help that SO many people are getting berated online for going out. People are even leaving notes on peoples cars and judging them for it! As much as I agree that people should only be going out for essential journeys, you don't know peoples personal situations so pleas
